The Yellow Emperor

Huang Di was known as The Yellow Emperor is credited with uniting China.  It is said that he rode a chariot pulled by tigers, dragons and phoenixes to the top of the highest mountain in China.  Once he was there he would grow a face on all four sides of his head so he could look at the entire world.

Like most of my other works, this brightly coloured piece is acrylic paint on canvas. It is titled Bonsai Sun.

The Marionette is one of my earliest paintings. It was inspired by Jacques-Louis David's The Death of Marat.
